Children’s spleen and stomach qi deficiency, stool dryness and coarseness belong to two kinds of diseases, for spleen and stomach qi deficiency can take Sijunzi Tang, isongsan, etc. to benefit qi and strengthen the spleen; for stool dryness and coarseness can be taken Ma Ziren Pills, Wuren Pills and other laxative medicines. 1. Si Jun Zi Tang: the main ingredients are ginseng, atractylodes, poria, licorice. It has the effect of benefiting the qi and strengthening the spleen, and is mainly used for treating qi deficiency of the spleen and stomach, with symptoms such as withered and white face, low voice, shortness of breath, loose food and stool (thin and unshaped feces), and pale tongue with white coating. 2. Iso Gong San: The main ingredients are ginseng, poria, atractylodes, tangerine peel and licorice. It has the effect of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, promoting qi circulation and resolving stagnation, and is mainly used for treating qi deficiency of the spleen and stomach with qi stagnation, with symptoms such as loss of appetite, loose stools, chest and epigastric constriction (feeling of fullness and stuffiness in the chest and abdomen), and so on. 3. Asako Ren Pills: the main ingredients are Asako Ren, Paeonia lactiflora, Citrus aurantium dulcis, rhubarb, Houpu, almonds. It has the efficacy of moistening the intestines and draining heat, promoting the flow of qi and laxative, and is mainly used for treating the spleen syndrome, with symptoms such as dry stools, frequent urination, and distension and pain in the epigastrium (abdomen). 4. Wu Ren Pills: the main ingredients are peach kernel, almond, pine nut, cypress kernel, Yu Li Ren, Chen Pi. It has the effect of moistening the intestines and relaxing the bowels, and is mainly used for treating constipation withered by Jin, with the symptoms of dry stools, hard and astringent, as well as constipation in old age or postpartum blood deficiency. It is recommended to use the medicine under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis, and should not be used on its own to avoid adverse consequences.
