What’s wrong with blocked nose in newborns

The main causes of nasal blockage in newborns are the following: 1. upper respiratory tract infection in newborns, i.e. cold, because the nasal mucosa of newborns is weaker and more vascular, so it is easy to edema in cold, which leads to nasal congestion; 2. gastroesophageal reflux, gastroesophageal reflux after milk reflux into the nasal cavity causing nasal congestion. The above two cases need different treatment. If it is caused by gastroesophageal reflux, to reduce the child’s gastroesophageal reflux, you can let the child sleep with the head high and feet low about 30 degrees position. If milk enters the nasal cavity, it needs to be cleared up in time. If it is caused by a cold, it is recommended to give the child a clockwise massage at the fontanelle of the head or a massage at the Yingxiang point on the side of both noses to reduce nasal edema. If the child’s condition is more serious, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time.
