The normal smell of the vagina is the smell of the leukorrhea. It is normal for the leukorrhea to be odorless or to have a faint fishy smell. If the vaginal discharge has a fishy or foul odor, it is abnormal. In clinical practice, it is often caused by inflammation of the vaginal mucosa itself, or cervical cancer or endometrial cancer that leads to foul odor of vaginal discharge. Therefore, if you find a foul-smelling white belt in your daily life, you must give a detailed examination. For example, gynecological examination should be done to know whether there is inflammation of vaginal mucosa and routine laboratory test of white belt should be done. According to the results, clinical treatment should be given with appropriate medication. It is also recommended to do annual screening for cervical cancer, and if there is foul odor of vaginal discharge, ultrasound examination should be done to find out if there are abnormal echogenic clusters in the endometrium. If necessary, diagnostic scraping is recommended.
