Treatment of Otoliths

An otolith is a solid, crystalline substance that is attached to the ear. If there are many otoliths in the ear, then the damage to the hearing of the ear is relatively large. Therefore, the sooner this condition is treated, the better. Common treatments include medication, Chinese medicine and surgery. 1. Medication. Medication is usually used when the otoliths are not very serious. At this time, the amount of otoliths is not very much, and it is easy to remove them. However, you should not just put drops of medication in your ears at random, you need to be under the guidance of a doctor or pharmacist. 2. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Chinese medicine will have better results in treating ear stones, but Chinese medicine generally has a longer course of treatment. Therefore, patients also need to use more time to complete the treatment of otoliths. However, TCM has a better feature because it has less side effects. Although the treatment time is long, it has no side effects and does not leave many after-effects. 3. Surgery. If the otolith has developed to a more serious condition, it needs to be removed through surgery. The surgery may leave some after-effects, but if the surgery is successful, you can recover better. The above are the treatments for otoliths, which should be treated as soon as possible.
