I. Symptoms
1.Night terrors: manifested as restless sleep, often crying at night, or easy to wake up during sleep, or easy to jump during sleep.
2, sweating: easy to sweat on the head, with a sour smell, often soaked hair or pillowcase during sleep, independent of room temperature, season, clothing, etc.
3.Irritability: usually easily provoked, crying, temper tantrums, loss of normal child liveliness.
II. Physical signs
1, cranial softening: manifest fontanelle enlargement edge thin and soft (fontanelle side soft), or in the head pressed in a ping-pong ball-like elastic softening (ping-pong skull).
2, square cranium: frontal parietal and occipital parietal bones are symmetrically elevated bilaterally like square. Or the sagittal suture is sunken like hip-shaped, or the coronal suture is sunken like saddle-shaped, or both are sunken in a cross shape.
3.Cock thorax: The anterior protrusion of the sternum is deformed in a “cock thorax-like” manner. Examination when lying down, the sternum is slightly protruding so that the thorax lost flat round for mild; protrusion serious and the thorax is obviously deformed for heavy.
4.Funnel chest: the saber is sunken into the “funnel-like” deformation. Congenital funnel chest should be excluded.
5.Bracelets: The epiphyseal bone tissue of the wrist is proliferated to form a ring-like blunt rounded bulge.
6.Ankle bracelet: the epiphyseal bone tissue of the ankle is hyperplastic to form a circular blunt circular bump.
7, O-shaped leg: O-shaped bend formed after standing due to softening of the lower limb bone in children. The distance between the two knee joints is measured when the two heels are close together in the standing position, below 3cm is mild (2 horizontal fingers), 3-6cm is moderate (3 horizontal fingers), and above 6cm is severe.
8.X-shaped leg: X-shaped bending of the lower limb is formed after the child stands up due to the softening of the bone, when the two knees are close together in the standing position, the distance between the two ankles is measured.
Secondary signs
L. Occipital baldness Due to the stimulation of sweaty head, often rubbing the occipital area to form a circular or piece-shaped hair loss area.
2, fontanel enlargement: 1 year old child fontanel average 2, 5cmX2, 5cm, such as greater than 3cmX3cm for fontanel enlargement.
3.Late closure of fontanel: the fontanel has not yet closed after 18 months.
4. Delayed teething: children have not yet teething after 12 months.
5.Rib ectropion: Due to the softening of the ribs by the diaphragm pulling inward, at the same time because of the abdominal muscle relaxation abdominal distension so that the rib edge is ectropion.
6, muscle ligament relaxation: due to calcium and phosphorus metabolic disorders and the whole body muscle flaccidity. Performance head weakness, sitting, standing, walking are later than normal, or the formation of “frog belly”, or joint hyperextension.
