Di Huang generally refers to raw Di Huang, which has the effects of nourishing yin, generating fluids, clearing heat and cooling blood (relieving blood heat by clearing heat), and can be used for heat entering the camp and blood (heat evils invading the body to a deep extent and with more severe symptoms), bleeding from blood heat, heat illnesses that injure the yin, and yin deficiency and fever.
It is sweet and cold in nature, and is attributed to the heart, liver and kidney meridians. It has the effects of nourishing yin and generating fluids, clearing heat and cooling blood.
Sheng Di Huang is used for warm-heat spots (warm-heat poison invading the body resulting in spots and plaques on the skin), heat entering the camp and blood, and can be combined with Lian Qiao and Xuan Shen to treat warm-heat diseases where heat enters the camp, with fainting of the spirit, dark tongue, and strong heat and thirst (high fever with irritable thirst).
It can be used for hemorrhage of blood-heat, this product is good at clearing and resolving the heat in the blood division of the camp and has the function of cooling and stopping hemorrhage (cooling and moistening the blood and preventing bleeding); it can also be used for the symptoms of tongue-redness and thirst, heat disease and injury of yin, internal heat and thirst (internal heat accompanied by symptoms of overeating and excessive drinking, excessive urination, etc.), yin deficiency and fever, bone vapor and labor heat, and constipation caused by injury of body fluid.
