Why recurrent fever after liver cancer intervention

Repeated fever after liver cancer intervention surgery may be caused by normal postoperative reaction, infection, tumor recurrence or metastasis. 1. Normal postoperative reaction: liver tumor tissue is necrotic after interventional surgery for liver cancer, and the necrotic tissue is absorbed by the body after the surgery, resulting in absorption of heat, which will lead to increase in body temperature. 2. Infection: Incomplete disinfection or violation of aseptic operation during interventional surgery causes wound infection, and the inflammatory reaction caused by infection leads to repeated postoperative fever. 3. Tumor recurrence or metastasis: if the tumor recurs or metastasizes after interventional surgery for liver cancer, the tumor tissue can cause immune reaction and produce pyrogenic factors such as interleukin-2 and prostaglandin, which will lead to recurrent symptoms of fever. If patients have stubborn fever after liver cancer interventional surgery, they should go to the hospital in time to improve the examination and give targeted treatment after clarifying the cause of the disease.
