Can Jin Gui Ren Qi Wan and Liu Wei Di Huang Wan be taken together?

Jin Gui Ren Qi Wan and Liu Wei Di Huang Wan are not recommended to be taken together because there are six medicines that are the same in both medicines, such as Cornus officinalis, Poria, and Ze Xie, etc. Taking them together may cause the risk of drug overdose.
Jin Gui Ren Qi Wan is composed of Chinese yam, Cornus officinalis, Poria, Psyllium, Psyllium, Gui Zhi, Ze Diarrhea, Mudan Pi and Cow’s Knee, etc. It can treat oedema, lumbar and knee soreness, fear of coldness, and dysuria (unruly urination) caused by kidney deficiency. It is contraindicated for pregnant women, and the adverse effects of this medicine are not known with certainty.
Liu Wei Di Huang Wan is composed of Chinese yam, mudanpi, zedoary, ripened dihuang and cornelian cherry, etc. It can be used for treating soreness and weakness of waist and knees, spermatorrhea, night sweating (abnormal sweating after falling asleep and stopping sweating after waking up) and hot flashes caused by kidney yin deficiency, etc. Adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are not known precisely.
Jin Gui Kidney Qi Pill and Liu Wei Di Huang Pill are recommended to be taken under the guidance of a professional doctor, do not take them on your own, so as not to cause damage to the organism and the condition of the wrong.
