A hernia is commonly known as a small intestine hernia. When we talk about hernia, we mainly refer to inguinal hernia, which is a mass formed by the protrusion of intra-abdominal organs from their normal position, through an orifice or weak point in the abdominal wall. Increased intra-abdominal pressure and defective or weak abdominal wall caused by emotional suppression, rage and crying, constipation, heavy physical work, etc. are the underlying causes of hernias. A hernia can be seen and felt. You may notice a lump appearing in the abdomen or near the groin area, which may disappear or remain when you lie flat and may occasionally be painful. This symptom is more pronounced when exercising. Patients with early or mild symptoms of a hernia may only experience discomfort, pain, lower abdominal cramping, indigestion, and diarrhea, especially when coughing, lifting heavy objects, or standing for long periods of time. Tissues in the body are pushed into the weak point under certain pressure, and the pressure increases as more tissue is pushed into the weak area of the abdominal wall feeling pain. When the hernia develops and deteriorates further, the mass falls into the scrotum, which can cause inconvenience in moving and walking, and in severe cases, it can become embedded, which can cause intestinal necrosis and even endanger life if not treated in time, and the only way to completely treat this disease is surgery.
