Drinking astragalus does not usually cause yellowing of the skin. Yellowing of the skin may be due to deficiency of qi and blood, spleen deficiency and dampness.
Astragalus has the effects of inducing diuresis and swelling, generating fluid and nourishing blood, consolidating the surface to stop sweating (stopping sweating by consolidating the muscular surface), tonifying qi and elevating yang, promoting stagnation and paralysis (making paralyzed meridians smooth), and supporting toxins to drain pus (draining out pus and poison from the body).
Astragalus can be used in the treatment of qi deficiency edema, fatigue, blood deficiency and yellowing, surface deficiency and spontaneous sweating (due to the weakness of the surface of the muscles and frequent natural sweating), low food and loose stools (feces thin and unshaped), the middle qi sinking (deficiency of spleen and stomach qi, the internal organs fall and other manifestations), prolonged diarrhea and prolapse of the anus, blood in the stools and leakage of blood (menstrual bleeding or dripping more than the amount of menstruation), hemiplegia (one side of the limbs can not be free to move), paralysis and numbness and other conditions.
Skin yellow can be seen in the deficiency of qi and blood skin loss of nourishment and yellow, or dampness and heat in the skin and lead to skin yellow sharp as orange peel, or cold and dampness stagnation, overflowing skin and lead to the skin color yellow as smoky. Astragalus generally does not cause yellow skin adverse reactions, and for qi and blood deficiency caused by yellow skin also has a certain therapeutic effect.
Astragalus should be used under the guidance of a doctor, and should not be used on its own to avoid adverse effects. It is recommended that people with yellow skin consult a professional doctor in time to avoid delays.
