Thyroid nodules that grow back a few years after ablation can be treated with radiofrequency ablation or surgical resection. Thyroid nodule ablation is a minimally invasive treatment under ultrasound guidance, and there is a possibility of recurrence after the procedure. Cases of recurrence after radiofrequency ablation of the thyroid gland can be treated again with ablation therapy or surgical resection, but a puncture biopsy should be performed before re-treatment. After ruling out thyroid cancer and ruling out that it is a nodule located at the posterior peritoneum of the thyroid, ablation treatment may be chosen. Surgical excision treatment is also available. It is recommended that once patients find that their thyroid nodules have become bigger again a few years after ablation, they should seek medical advice in time to improve the relevant examinations and standardize the treatment.
