Entecavir tablets should be taken on an empty stomach, usually at least 2 hours before or after a meal.
Entecavir tablets in the active ingredient entecavir is guanine nucleoside analogs, hepatitis B virus polymerase inhibition. It is indicated for the treatment of chronic adult hepatitis B with active viral replication and persistent elevation of serum alanine aminotransferase and for nucleoside priming in children aged 2 to 18 years with chronic HBV-infected compensated liver disease.
The most common adverse reactions to entecavir tablets include headache, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, abdominal discomfort, epigastric pain, hepatic discomfort, myalgia, insomnia, and rubella. And it is contraindicated for those who are allergic to entecavir or any of the ingredients in the preparation. Entecavir is also not recommended for anti-HIV treatment.
Patients should take entecavir tablets under the supervision of a physician and inform the physician of all new symptoms and co-medications.
