Fluorouracil cream is first converted to 5-fluoro-2-deoxyuridine nucleotides in the body, which inhibits thymine nucleotide synthetase and blocks the conversion of deoxyuridine nucleotides to deoxythymine nucleotides, thus inhibiting DNA biosynthesis. In addition, inhibition of RNA synthesis is achieved by preventing the incorporation of uracil and orotate into RNA. Fluorouracil cream is a cell cycle-specific agent that primarily inhibits S-phase tumor cells. Indications for the treatment of warts are for hyperkeratotic, wart-like damage and white patches. Fluorouracil cream adverse reactions peripheral blood leukopenia, nausea, loss of appetite or vomiting, occasionally oral mucositis or ulcers, abdominal discomfort or diarrhea, long-term application can lead to neurological toxicity.
