Symptoms of lymphatic fistula

Lymphatic fistulas are often seen after lymph node dissection or biopsy surgery, due to damage to the lymphatic ducts or incomplete ligation, or after infection. In addition, the gauze is repeatedly soaked through, and the patient may also have local itching or irregular low-grade fever, which should be drained or adequately bandaged after diagnosis. If there is repeatedly no improvement, further exploration is needed to find lymphatic ducts for examination if necessary. Because lymphatic fluid contains many nutrients, prolonged lymphatic fistula can lead to a decrease in nutritional status and induce anemia or hypoproteinemia.
