How to treat lymphatic pain in the jaw

Pain in the lymph nodes of the jaw area is considered to be caused by inflammation and should be treated systematically with anti-inflammatory therapy. Mild patients can be treated with oral medications, commonly known as β-lactam antimicrobials, cefadroxil tablets or amoxicillin capsules, or penicillin V potassium tablets can be applied. If allergic to such drugs, macrolide antibiotics can be applied, commonly used is roxithromycin dispersible tablets. During the treatment period, attention should be paid to general treatment, because some patients are caused by oral infections. They should pay attention to oral hygiene, insist on rinsing their mouth after each meal, and insist on applying warm salt water for rinsing and brushing their teeth every day, which can also improve the patient’s discomfort. If the inflammation of lymph nodes is aggravated, it may also manifest as suppuration, and the patient may have fever or chills. If necessary, further surgery is required to perform incision and drainage of pus, as well as intravenous anti-infection treatment.
