The treatment of highly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of tongue should be individualized according to the patient’s tumor staging. Early stage tongue cancer is mainly treated with surgery, while advanced tongue cancer needs to be treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, surgery and other comprehensive treatments. Highly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma is a kind of highly differentiated malignant tumor, which is not easy to produce regional lymph node metastasis and distant metastasis, and its prognosis is better than that of low-differentiated and undifferentiated squamous carcinoma. According to international TNM staging, tongue cancer can be divided into stage I, II, III and IV, and stage IV tongue cancer has the worst prognosis. For stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ tongue cancer, the tumor is small and no metastasis has occurred, so surgical resection can be chosen to remove the primary tumor and use normal tissues to re-establish the basic shape of the tongue and restore the basic function of the tongue. If the tumor develops to stage III and IV, then lymph node or distant metastasis has usually occurred, and in addition to surgical treatment, it needs to be accompanied by chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other methods at the same time. Patients with highly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue should consult the doctor in time and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment, and follow up regularly for review after treatment.
