What is TCT test

TCT test for women is known as cervical liquid-based cytology, which is a cancer prevention screening test for cervical cancer and a TBS classification method for cervical cytology. As the main method of cervical cancer screening at present, its positive compliance rate can reach about 70% for cervical cancer screening, so it is a very effective method to prevent cervical cancer. Through TCT examination, many women can get early detection and early treatment in the precancerous period of cervical cancer, that is, the period of highly squamous intraepithelial lesions of the cervix. tCT examination as cervical cancer prevention screening is non-invasive and will not cause discomfort or harm to women, so it is recommended for women to have cervical cancer prevention screening once a year, but it is not able to clarify whether they have cervical lesions. If abnormalities are found in the TCT test, a cervical biopsy under colposcopy may be needed to clarify whether there are cervical lesions.
