Flat Stomach Pill is mainly used to treat the evidence of dampness in the spleen and stomach, and its effect of resolving phlegm is weak, which is not entirely suitable for the evidence of phlegm-dampness.
Flat Stomach Pill is composed of Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, Rhizoma Glycyrrhiza Glutinosa, Ginger and Jujubes, which can strengthen the spleen and dry up the dampness, broaden the chest and eliminate flatulence, and it is useful for those who don’t want to eat, have pain and fullness in the abdomen, vomiting, nausea, belching (belching with a full stomach), and regurgitation caused by the prevalence of dampness in the spleen and stomach.
Adverse effects and contraindications of this product are not exact. Avoid eating raw, cold, greasy and indigestible food. This product is not suitable for Yin deficiency of the spleen and stomach, which is mainly manifested as dry mouth, red tongue with little fluid and dry stools.
Phlegm-dampness is mostly caused by spleen dysfunction (dysfunction of the spleen’s transportation and digestion) and dampness, depression and stagnation of qi. Symptoms include coughing and spitting up a lot of thick phlegm, slippery phlegm, chest and epigastric constriction (feeling of fullness and stuffiness in the chest and abdomen), nausea and vomiting, dizziness, limb heaviness (weakness of the limbs and sinking of the limbs), little food and greasy mouth, and so on. Commonly used proprietary Chinese medicines such as Er Chen Pills.
Er Chen Pill is composed of Chen Pi, Pinellia, Poria, Glycyrrhiza, Ginger. It has the effects of drying dampness and resolving phlegm (expelling dampness by drying dampness and resolving phlegm), regulating Qi and harmonizing the stomach. It is used for cough with profuse phlegm caused by stagnation of phlegm and dampness, distension and congestion in chest and epigastric region, nausea and vomiting.
Adverse effects and contraindications of this product are not exact. Avoid smoking, alcohol and spicy, cold and greasy food during administration. It is not advisable to take tonic Chinese medicine at the same time during the period of administration. Not suitable for dry cough due to lung yin deficiency.
The medication needs to be taken under the guidance of a doctor, and should not be used on its own.
