Are Pneumoconiosis Exercises Beneficial?

Pneumoconiosis patients benefit from scientific and appropriate exercise, including mainly respiratory rehabilitation.
Respiratory rehabilitation is the main component of training for pneumoconiotics and should be started as early as possible and persisted in treatment for a long period of time in order to maximize its effect and benefit. The main purpose of respiratory rehabilitation is to increase lung capacity, enhance respiratory muscle function, reserve and exert respiratory compensatory potential, and improve hypoxia.
Common respiratory rehabilitation methods include respiratory muscle training, respiratory control training, cough training, chest relaxation training, postural phlegm expulsion, aerobic exercise (whole-body respiratory gymnastics) and strength endurance training. Through long-term exercise, pneumoconiotics can improve respiratory efficiency, improve respiratory type, increase the muscle strength of the patient’s limbs, and improve the patient’s quality of life and mental health.
