New Coronaviruses can be spread through the air.
Neocoronaviruses are mainly spread by contact, droplet spread, and aerosol spread. Neocoronavirus pneumonia is a respiratory disease. When a patient with neocoronavirus pneumonia coughs, the droplets will spread in the surrounding air, and if healthy people inhale this air with neocoronavirus, it will lead to the patient contracting neocoronavirus pneumonia.
When infected with the new coronavirus, patients will experience symptoms such as weakness, dry cough and fever, but some patients may have no obvious clinical symptoms.
Contact with a patient who is positive for the novel coronavirus should be reported promptly, and nucleic acid testing should be performed, with quarantine if necessary.
Note: The terms “new coronavirus pneumonia” and “new coronavirus pneumonia” mentioned in this article were renamed to “new coronavirus infection” on December 26, 2022, as announced by the National Health Commission.
