How to prevent strabismus

Prevention of strabismus can be addressed by maintaining good eye habits, regular checkups, and cooperating with treatment.
1. Regular checkups: pay attention to your child’s eyes and the coordination of both eyes. It is best to have your child routinely examined by an ophthalmologist every year so that strabismus can be detected in a timely manner.
2. Maintain good eye habits: don’t read under too strong or too weak a light, don’t read books with unclear handwriting, don’t read lying down, don’t watch TV and play games for a long time, in order to take good precautions and develop good eye habits.
3. Cooperate with the treatment: if the child has refractive error, hyperopia, astigmatism, etc., wear glasses in time to prevent strabismus and amblyopia.
Prevention of strabismus should be scientific and reasonable, if you find eye discomfort should seek medical treatment.
