Minimally invasive treatment of recurrent auricular keloids

Auricular keloids need to be treated with more thorough surgery so that the chances of recurrence can be reduced. However, because the pathogenesis of keloids is not clear, the chance of recurrence varies from one practitioner to another and has been reported to be about 10-100%. The most difficult treatment at present is these recurrent keloids. It is characterized by an irregular morphology, a greater extent of hyperplasia than before, and possible medical damage to the auricular cartilage. By viewing the keloid as a similar change caused by the expander, the fillet flap method of formation does not require the removal of skin from other parts of the body, avoiding the occurrence of additional scarring while essentially restoring the normal shape of the auricle.
