Congenital heart disease, referred to as “congenital heart disease”, is a congenital malformation of the cardiovascular system caused by abnormal development of the heart and large blood vessels during fetal life, and is the most common heart disease in pediatrics. According to statistics, 6 to 7 out of every 1000 newborns have congenital heart malformation. Most children with congenital heart disease have poorer development than children of the same age, are physically weak, prone to repeated colds or pneumonia, and are often poorly delayed, so parents need to take extra care and patience in the child’s food, clothing, exercise and prevention of other diseases. 1, try to keep the child quiet, try not to make the child cry, avoid the child emotional excitement, reduce unnecessary stimulation. Life should be regular, combined with movement, neither running around outside (running and jumping and strenuous exercise are strictly prohibited), so as not to increase the burden on the heart, and at the same time to ensure sufficient sleep. 2, keep the skin clean, children with cardiac insufficiency tend to sweat more, need to keep the skin clean, bathing regularly in summer, wipe the body with a hot towel in winter (pay attention to keep warm), change clothes and pants regularly. 3, children with congenital heart disease should eat less and more meals, need to ensure adequate intake of protein and vitamins, give the diet as diverse as possible, easy to digest. Infants with congenital heart disease are more difficult to feed, and they are prone to vomit and sweat a lot when sucking milk. If the stool is dry and difficult to defecate, excessive force will increase the abdominal pressure and increase the burden on the heart, which may even have serious consequences. If there is no stool for 2-3 days, you can use open plug laxative to pass stool. 5, timely increase and decrease of clothing, congenital heart disease children are weak, prone to infectious diseases, especially respiratory diseases are common, so should be carefully care, with the change of seasons, timely increase and decrease of clothing. If there is a family member with upper respiratory tract infection, isolation measures should be taken, usually keep the air circulating inside the apartment, and children should avoid staying in crowded public places as much as possible to reduce the chance of respiratory tract infection. You should add and remove clothes in time with the warm weather and pay close attention to the prevention of colds. Once the child has an infection, the infection should be actively controlled. 6, regular follow-up visits to the hospital outpatient clinic, strictly follow the doctor’s orders to take medication, especially cardiac and diuretic drugs, due to their pharmacological properties, must be absolutely controlled dose, on time, according to the course of treatment to ensure the effectiveness. For children with surgically treated precardiac disease, care should be strengthened within 3 months after surgery. Pay attention to diet and nutrition; keep warm and prevent from catching cold. Comfort and encourage the child to prevent the burden of thought; at the same time, pay attention to the sleep and rest of the child, so that he or she can successfully pass the postoperative recovery period.
