How to do when baby’s incisors are knocked loose

If the baby incisors are knocked loose, a full-mouth surface tomogram needs to be taken and then treated. If the incisor roots are not fractured, the loose incisors can be reset into the alveolar sockets under local anesthesia, and ligated and fixed to the stable neighboring teeth on both sides according to the occlusal relationship. The loose incisors will be gradually stabilized after 1-3 months, and then the arch splints will be removed. If the x-ray shows that the root of the incisor is fractured and cannot be retained, the incisor needs to be completely extracted, and a gap retainer should be made to restore the chewing function and wait for the eruption of permanent teeth. If the permanent teeth erupt in a skewed position, orthodontic treatment will be performed.
