The best remedy for demineralization of children’s teeth is fluoride application and with daily oral care.
Demineralization is the chipping away of the hardest layer of enamel on the surface of the tooth and is the first step in decay. At this point, the hardness of the tooth surface can be increased by applying fluoride, which makes the surface of the tooth stronger and more resistant to acids. It is recommended that fluoride be applied every 3 months at the dental clinic.
When demineralization is detected, special attention needs to be paid to oral hygiene to slow down the rate of demineralization from daily maintenance of dental health. Brush your teeth at least twice a day, more importantly at night before going to bed, rinse and floss after every meal, and use fluoride toothpaste as appropriate. Oral checkups should be performed every 3 months, and fillings should be provided in a timely manner if decay occurs.
