Kidney failure can live for several years if it is well controlled

Usually those with well-controlled renal failure have a longer survival time, and if they can actively receive combined Chinese and Western medicine treatment at an early stage to achieve well-controlled renal failure, it may not affect their life expectancy. Once they enter the uremic phase, they need to undergo renal replacement therapy and may survive for several years, and some patients may survive for about 25 years. Renal failure is divided into acute renal failure and chronic renal failure. Once acute renal failure is cured, the survival period is the same as that of normal people. Some patients with acute renal failure may turn into chronic renal failure, with different stages and different prognosis. If renal failure is treated with regular medication in the early stage, as well as diet control, it is expected to maintain stable renal function for a long time, without affecting the life expectancy of patients. Even if renal failure progresses to the late stage, it can stay in the original stage or progress slowly if it can be treated well. Once renal failure progresses to the end stage, i.e. uremic phase, life expectancy will be affected to a certain extent, and most patients can survive for more than 10 years or even up to 25 years with adequate regular dialysis. In addition, patients with renal failure are advised to avoid nephrotoxic drugs such as aspirin and gentamicin as much as possible. At the same time, maintain a good attitude and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment.
