Which is the best, Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan or Zuo Gui Wan?

Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan and Zuo Gui Wan are both commonly used medicines to nourish kidney yin, and there is no saying which is better or worse. Zuo Gui Wan is a tonic without diarrhea, which is suitable for cases of kidney yin deficiency without fire, while Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan adds Zhi Mu, Huang Bai and other heat-reducing and fire-reducing medicines on the basis of nourishing kidney yin, which is more suitable for cases of yin deficiency with fire. Zuo Gui Wan is based on Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, removing Ze Xie, Poria and Dan Pi, adding Chinese wolfberry, tortoise board gelatin, deer antler gelatin, Semen Cuscutae and Cortex Cuscutae, efficacy of nourishing yin and tonifying the kidney, used for deficiency of true yin, lumbar and knee soreness and tenderness (a feeling of soreness and weakness of the lumbar and knee areas), night sweating, mental fatigue (lack of mental energy), and dryness of the mouth. Avoid greasy food, and use with caution in cases of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency (diarrhea caused by weak spleen function).
