What to do about Liver Yin deficiency

According to Chinese medicine, liver and kidney are of the same origin, and deficiency of liver yin is often combined with deficiency of kidney yin, therefore, liver yin deficiency should be treated by nourishing liver and kidney. Commonly used drugs include Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, Zuo Gui Wan and Zuo Gui Drink. Liver-Yin deficiency is often associated with Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity, which is often manifested as a deficiency of kidney essence combined with symptoms of deficiency-Yang upward, such as soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, five heartburn, hot flashes and night sweats, headache and dizziness, tinnitus and deafness, head swelling, and lightness of the head and feet. We should nourish the liver and kidney while submerging Yang, and can treat it with Liver Quenching and Wind Quenching Soup, Antelope and Hooked Vine Soup, Tianma and Hooked Vine Drink, and Aconite and Chicken Root and Yellow Soup. If there is a manifestation of deficiency fire, it can be treated with Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan; if there is dimming of vision in both eyes, it can be treated with Qiao Ju Di Huang Wan plus reduction.
