Cang Er Zi is the mature fruit with involucre of Cang Er plant of Asteraceae family, which is bitter, pungent, warm and poisonous in nature, and its efficacy is dispersing wind-cold, relieving pain, dispelling wind-dampness and clearing the nasal orifices, and it is mainly used for the treatment of wind-cold and cold, wind-dampness and paralysis, wind-rasse and itchiness, scabies, leprosy, and nasal abyss (which mainly manifests itself as obscene and turbid nasal mucus, and the amount of mucus is too much to be wiped away), etc. It has a certain degree of toxicity. Cangzhi has a certain degree of toxicity, long-term or excessive use will have certain side effects, patients may experience nausea, general discomfort, abdominal distension, diarrhea, lethargy and drowsiness and other adverse reactions.
