The heart is the official of the sovereign, from which the gods emerge. –The heart is the highest of the five organs. Qibo said that the heart is the “official of the sovereign”. The heart is the sovereign, the emperor in the highest position. Why do you say that the heart is the sovereign? Because the heart is in charge of the most important thing in the human body, which is the human “gods”, that is, the spiritual consciousness and thinking activities. The three treasures of life are essence, qi, and god, of which the heart is in charge, and the gods are the most important in life. Of course all five organs have God, but the heart and God are the oldest and highest position. This is the first major function of the heart. The heart also has a second major function, which is to be in charge of the blood channels. The blood and the meridians of the human body are all dominated by the heart. As you can see from the anatomy, the heart is like a pump that sends blood to all parts of the body. Also, have you noticed that the frequency of the pulse beat and the frequency of the heart beat are basically the same. These are the two main functions of the heart, which is the most important of the five organs in the human body. Four ways to nourish the heart Among the five organs of health, nourishing the heart is the most important. How to nourish the heart? To do four things. 1, nourish the soul First, to nourish the soul. Because the heart is the master of the mind, so nourish the mind is to calm the heart and keep the mind in a state of tranquility. Heart is away from the trigram, representing the heart fire, this trigram outside is Yang in the middle is Yin. The outside is real, the middle is empty, indicating that people have to be modest, modest mind is pure, calm and relaxed. The ancients paid special attention to the cultivation of the mind and meditation. Tao Yuanming, a great poet of the Jin Dynasty, has a very famous poem: “The hut in the human realm, and no car and horse noise. Ask the gentleman what can be, the heart is far away from the ground. Picking chrysanthemums under the eastern hedge, leisurely see the southern mountains. The mountain air is good in the evening, and the flying birds return with each other. There is a true meaning in this, and I forgot to say it.” How does this poem reflect the cultivation of the mind? At the beginning of the poem, it says: “The hut is in the realm of the people, and there is no noise of horses and cars.” It is that we all live in a very noisy world, and everyone has many paths and faces many choices; however, although the world is very noisy, we cannot hear the noisy sound of cars and horses. Is it true that you can’t hear it? No, it is that one’s mind is very still, and one is free from external disturbances. “Ask the gentleman how you can be, the heart is far away from the earth.” Ask how you can reach such a state. It is because the mind is far away. This “distant mind” actually means that the mind is very quiet and peaceful, and it seems that all the external things are very far away from you. The reality is noisy, but as long as the “heart is far away” and the mind is quiet, you will not hear the noise of the outside world. “Picking chrysanthemums under the eastern hedge, see the southern mountains at ease.” This is a famous line, referring to the paradise of the human mind. The mind is clear and quiet, so everything you see is a beautiful scene. “The mountain air is good at sunset, and the birds of prey return with each other.” In the evening, seeing the sunset over the mountain, at this time Tao Yuanming, because his heart was very still, appreciated this piece of evening scenery very much and thought this scenery was the best; the flying birds returned to the premises one after another, implying that the heart of each of us should also return to the place where we should go and fly to that place of purity. This poem is Tao Yuanming’s own state of mind to feel the infinite beauty of the evening scenery, which can be said to be “the sunset is infinitely good, the evening sunset is a different kind of red.” In contrast, Li Shangyin, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, felt that “the sunset is infinitely beautiful, but it is near dusk.” The mood is more depressed. So, nourishing the soul is to clear the mind, to cultivate the heart, which is also the most important. Tao Yuanming also has a famous poem: “Even if the waves are in the middle of the big change, I am not happy and not afraid. Should be exhausted then must be exhausted, no more alone to worry.” The general idea is that, no matter what kind of wind and waves, what kind of changes, as long as the mind is quiet, do not overjoyed and do not fear, do not count gains and losses, the surrender will be surrendered, you can “pick chrysanthemums under the eastern hedge, see the southern mountains”. Tao Yuanming is a model for us in cultivating the mind and nurturing the heart. 2, massage Second, “the spirit of the law”, both to keep the spirit, and that the essence and the spirit of the two to cultivate each other. The kidney collects the essence, the heart collects the spirit, so we should cultivate the heart and kidney, to achieve the heart and kidney intercourse. Here is a very practical method: is to massage the heart and kidney meridian on two important points – the hand pericardial meridian of the Laogong point and the feet on the kidney meridian of the Yongquan point. These two points rubbed each other, massage can play the role of the heart and kidney intersection. The Laogong point is very simple, reach out and make a fist, the place where the middle finger snaps to is the Laogong point. The Laogong point is an acupuncture point on the heart meridian, the so-called “heart envelope”, which is like a protective membrane on the outside of the heart, and it can “receive evil on behalf of the king”, that is, when there is evil invading the heart, it comes out to protect and is invaded first. The Yongquan point is located on the bottom of the foot, and if you divide the foot into thirds, it is basically in the middle of the first third and the second two thirds. As the name implies, it is like a spring gushing out, and the Yongquan point is where the Kidney meridian enters and exits. Lau Kung point and Chung Quan point rubbing each other, with the right hand of the Lau Kung point to rub the left foot Chung Quan point, rub until warm and hot, in turn, with the left hand of the Lau Kung point to the right foot of the Chung Quan point to rub. The best time is the son, noon, dao, you four hours. In this way, you can achieve the purpose of the heart and kidney combined refinement. It can treat insomnia, because insomnia is not heart and kidney, you can rub the two points before going to sleep, until the heat, heart and kidney, sleep solid. 3, dietary supplements Third, food supplements. If the heart is not enough, you can eat a little ginseng, astragalus. If you heart yin deficiency, you can eat a little cinnamon, dates, lotus seeds, etc.. Therefore, anyone with palpitations caused by cardiovascular diseases should take it regularly; 7. Because the heart activity is most active at noon, that is, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The noon hour is the highest point where Yang Qi rises, and after the noon hour, Yang Qi falls and Yin Qi begins. Yang energy is at its highest point, which is represented by the taiji diagram as the position with the most white, when black comes immediately. Therefore, this is the time when yin and yang meet, so you must pay attention to rest. If you are practicing, this is a very good time to practice; if you do not know how to practice, you nap, take a good nap, you will keep the heart qi at the time of the intersection of yin and yang.
