Pap smear level 1 means normal and is a normal cervical cell smear. Cervical smear is a cancer prevention cytology test of the cervix, which is the longest used test in our country as a cancer prevention screening for cervical cancer. As Pap grading, it can be divided into five levels, Pap grade I is normal, for normal cervical cell smear. Pap grade II refers to cervical inflammation, and Pap grade III is suspicious of cervical cancer, for which the nature of atypical cells is still difficult to determine. Pap grade IV is highly suspicious of cancer, where the cells have malignant features, but there are fewer malignant cells in the smear. Pap grade V is when cancer cells have been seen, with a typical amount of cancer cells. For Pap smear grading, a cervical biopsy is mandatory for grade 3 and above to clarify the presence of cervical lesions. Pap smear grading has certain drawbacks. The use of grade to indicate the degree of cytologic alteration tends to cause false impressions and the screening rate is not very high. In recent years, the Pap grading method has been gradually replaced by the TBS classification method, which is now more commonly used for cervical liquid-based cytology.
