Philosophical Issues in the Practice of Medicine – Classification of Physicians

  The first category: Buddhist medicine. The Buddha’s realm is “the Buddha’s door is wide open, only pointing the way, the six paths of reincarnation by their own practice. The realm of Vajra is “practicing Vajra’s indestructible body, only wishing to accompany the Buddha for a long time”. Such doctors, highly skilled, mediocre virtues, only seeking to support their families by practicing medicine.  The fourth category: high monk doctors. The realm of monks is that “although they have the wish to help all sentient beings, their skills are not up to par”. Such doctors are of high moral character and low technology, and they are the ones who mislead people.  The fifth category: Shamiya doctor. The realm of the Shayana is “hard work in monasticism only for their own sake, the great disaster to seek the shade of Buddha. Such a doctor, that is, poor technology, mediocre character, is a doctor in the mongrel.  The sixth category: the devil doctor. The realm of the devil is “there is a way out of heaven, there is no door to hell but cross. Such doctors, regardless of the level of technology, bad character, for their own interests, not hesitating to seek money to kill.
