Diarrhea can be caused by food poisoning, intestinal infections, intestinal tumors, etc. It can be treated medically with anti-infectives such as norfloxacin and antidiarrheal drugs such as montelukast.
1.Causes:
(1) Food poisoning: acute food poisoning caused by consuming white fruit, poisonous mushrooms, sprouted potatoes, fresh cauliflower, etc., causing diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain and other symptoms.
(2) Intestinal infections: such as acute and chronic gastroenteritis, Crohn’s disease, amoebic dysentery, bacillary dysentery, intestinal tuberculosis and so on.
(3) Systemic diseases: such as anaphylactic purpura, allergic enteropathy, graft-versus-host disease, typhoid fever and so on.
(4) Intestinal tumors: such as colon cancer, rectal cancer, etc. In addition to diarrhea symptoms, there may be changes in bloody stools and stool traits.
2.Treatment:
(1) Antidiarrheal drugs: montelukast can adsorb intestinal toxins and protect intestinal mucosa; bismuth subsalicylate dry suspension can inhibit intestinal secretion.
(2) anti-infective treatment: amoxicillin, cefixime, norfloxacin and other anti-infective drugs can relieve intestinal inflammation.
(3) Rehydration therapy: consumption of rehydration salts or intravenous rehydration therapy to relieve water and electrolyte balance disorders and acid-base balance imbalance caused by dehydration.
(4) Treatment of primary disease: such as diarrhea caused by digestive tract tumors, consider resection of the lesion and radiotherapy; inflammatory bowel disease can choose aminosalicylic acid preparation, glucocorticoids, immunosuppressants, etc. for treatment; chronic pancreatitis can be supplemented with digestive enzymes such as pancreatic enzymes.
It is recommended to consult the doctor in time, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and give targeted treatment. All of the above drugs should be used under the guidance of a doctor, and should not be used without authorization.
