What to do about ureteral stenosis after holmium laser

Holmium ureteral stenosis can be further examined to find out the location and degree of stenosis, and then ureteral dilation or surgery can be performed according to the degree of stenosis.
1. Ureteral dilatation: For mild stenosis with a length of 1cm or less, ureteral dilatation can be tried, such as ureteroscopic balloon dilatation, indwelling ureteral stent dilatation, etc. Regular review is needed after ureteral dilatation.
2. Surgery: Surgery is recommended for ureteral stenosis of more than 1cm in length. Depending on the condition, surgical methods can be chosen such as ureterotomy anastomosis, ureteral bladder reimplantation, bladder flap plasty, and small intestine replacement ureter surgery.
If the ureter becomes narrow after holmium laser, it is recommended to go to the hospital for further examination and choose the appropriate treatment according to the examination results.
