Can I go to the hospital with a fever during the Newcastle pneumonia outbreak?

Patients with fever do not necessarily go to the hospital right away, because fever can be caused by a variety of other reasons, not necessarily a novel coronavirus infection, and isolation at home for 14 days is recommended. If the fever is caused by influenza, it will recover on its own in about a week. The incubation period for novel coronavirus infection is usually 3-7 days, with a maximum of 14 days. The main symptoms are fever, malaise, dry cough, and in a few cases, nasal congestion, runny nose and diarrhea. Severe patients tend to develop respiratory distress after a week, with rapid progression to acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis, and bleeding and clotting dysfunction in severe cases. If the symptoms of fever persist and other abnormalities appear, seek immediate medical attention.
