Can putting chlorine dioxide in a humidifier prevent aerosol transmission of the new coronavirus?

The National Health Council affirms that the transmission route of the new coronavirus through aerosols has not been fully determined. Chlorine dioxide can be decomposed into chlorine gas and oxygen in the air, and excessive or long-term exposure to chlorine gas can be harmful to the human body. Chlorine dioxide itself also has an irritating odor and is irritating to the skin and eyes, and can even induce pulmonary edema and death when inhaled at high concentrations. Therefore, if the environment is not really contaminated with viruses, generally do not use such extreme measures as chlorine dioxide aerosol disinfection. Excessive prevention because of panic is also risky.
