Recently, the awarding ceremony of China Stroke Center Alliance was held in Beijing Tiantan Hospital, where representatives of the first alliance units from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shandong and Shanxi participated. Dr. Xing Yan, Director of the Department of Neurology, Aviation General Hospital, received the plaque on behalf of the hospital. The China Stroke Center Alliance is a project initiated by the Chinese Stroke Association and directed by the National Center for Quality Control of Neurology of the National Health and Family Planning Commission to promote the construction of stroke centers (stroke centers and comprehensive stroke centers) in China, to establish a referral model based on the regional emergency system, and to develop standard operating procedures for standardized stroke treatment. The project aims to promote the development of stroke centers (stroke centers and comprehensive stroke centers) in China, establish a referral model based on the regional emergency system, develop standard operating procedures for standardized stroke care, build a model for continuous improvement of stroke quality in China, and conduct clinical standardization and health education training. The standardized treatment of stroke patients is an important part of the accreditation, evaluation and service system of the China Stroke Center Consortium, and is central to the provision of high-quality, high-standard services to patients. The construction of alliance centers will also include training on standardized stroke care, so that patients in the acute phase of stroke can receive the most appropriate treatment in time, and patients in the secondary prevention can receive standardized antihypertensive, lipid-lowering and antiplatelet treatment programs. To standardize stroke treatment, improve medical quality, establish a regional alliance of stroke centers in China, optimize the allocation of hospital resources, standardize clinical treatment, improve the overall level of stroke treatment in China, and improve the prognosis of stroke patients. After each unit joins the China Stroke Center Alliance, the alliance will organize regular stroke standardization training to help hospitals’ discipline construction. The Department of Neurology of Aviation General Hospital is a key discipline of Air China Medical Care and a key discipline of Aviation General Hospital, and the treatment of cerebrovascular disease is the key professional direction of the department. In recent years, the Department of Neurology has been working closely with the Department of Neurosurgery, Department of Imaging, Department of Emergency Medicine and other disciplines to build the most trustworthy stroke treatment center in the northern part of Beijing, and established a standardized emergency green channel for cerebrovascular disease in September 2013. The first batch of National Stroke Center Alliance members certified and licensed by the Chinese Stroke Association will strongly promote the construction of a standardized clinical treatment system for stroke, further integrate stroke team resources, optimize the emergency treatment process for cerebrovascular diseases, and provide high-quality and efficient standardized treatment services for stroke patients.
