Tumor chemotherapy requires caution!

Since the qualification system and management of clinical chemotherapy in China are not yet sound, it leads to the confusion of chemotherapy for tumor patients in China at present. It is as if everyone can play chemotherapy, not only referring to the non-oncology departments of tertiary hospitals, but even county and rural level hospitals are carrying out chemotherapy. Lessons like the chemotherapy given to a breast cancer patient in the gastroenterology department of a hospital in Guangzhou that led to the patient’s death do not seem to give a warning to not only the doctor, but mainly the patient, because life belongs to the patient. To tell so much is not to review the previous lessons. Rather, a recent patient’s experience with chemotherapy made me suck back a breath of cold air! A female patient from a rural area was found to have a lung occupancy on CT at a county hospital, so she went to the imaging department of a large hospital in the provincial capital to have her films read. The thing here is still the standard procedure. Next, after the diagnosis, the imaging doctor gave the patient a protocol (non-professional guidance) and sent the patient to a hotel for a week of chemotherapy (appalling, right?!). . The reaction was, needless to say, holding the tub and throwing up for half a month. The scary thing is: a hotel to play chemotherapy? Not to mention the other, this person is a doctor? Are they qualified? Some drugs require pretreatment and detailed observation, is this person trained? What if there is an allergic reaction or shock, or ARDS? Do you have resuscitation equipment? I really don’t want to think about it any further! There is only one purpose for saying so much, although some people want to make money, but I hope patients are responsible for themselves!
