What is angio-cognitive impairment?

Vascular cognitive impairment refers to cognitive impairment caused by cerebrovascular disease, with hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidaemia being risk factors. Its cognitive impairment manifests itself to varying degrees depending on the extent and location of brain damage, and is seen in a variety of conditions such as cerebral infarction, cerebral haemorrhage and chronic cerebral ischaemia.
