In clinical practice, cruciate ligament strain occurs when the patient’s knee joint is subjected to direct or indirect external forces. Even if a patient receives prompt medical attention and proper treatment, there is no standardized recovery time, depending on the degree of the cruciate ligament injury and the treatment method used. For example, if a patient has a mild cruciate ligament injury, conservative treatment is given by braking the knee joint area and applying creams that activate blood circulation and eliminate blood stasis and reduce swelling and pain, the patient can gradually recover in about 4 weeks after treatment. If the patient suffers from severe cruciate ligament injury and complete rupture of the ligament, the patient will be treated with surgery, minimally invasive surgery through knee arthroscopy to repair the cruciate ligament, which usually takes 6-7 weeks after surgery for gradual recovery.
