What ointment to apply to red, itchy skin

Red and itchy skin requires the use of ointments on the basis of a clear cause, the common causes are contact dermatitis, urticaria, eczema, and fungal infections, etc., involving drugs such as glucocorticoid creams (compound dexamethasone acetate cream, etc.), glycerol lotion, anti-fungal drugs (miconazole, etc.) and so on.
1. Contact dermatitis: Typical symptoms are red, swollen erythema on the skin, accompanied by a tingling sensation and itching. If it does not grow on the face, glucocorticoid creams such as compound dexamethasone acetate cream can be applied. If it occurs on the face and other thin and tender parts of the body, topical calcium-modulated phosphatase inhibitors such as pimecrolimus cream can be used.
2. Hives: The skin will quickly break out in the form of hives with intense itching, which can be relieved on its own. Urticaria patients can apply glycerine lotion, zinc oxide ointment and other ointments to stop itching.
3. Eczema: the skin will appear red rash, pimples, oozing and crusting. Glycerin lotion can be applied to relieve the itching, together with hormonal drugs such as hydrocortisone butyrate cream.
4. Fungal infection: the affected skin will be red, itchy and rash, and the color of the skin will deepen over time. Antifungal drugs such as miconazole nitrate cream and ketoconazole ointment can be applied.
Patients need to consult a doctor for timely examination and use the medication as prescribed by the doctor, and if the ointment alone is not effective, it should also be combined with other methods of treatment.
