What should I do after I have a “snake”?

A month ago, the family lived in Xiamen, Huli District, moncler Li got commonly known as “skin snake” shingles, now the skin herpes has been healed, but the place where the herpes was unbearable pain, in addition to a burst of knife-like pain, is the clothing contact will cause unbearable pain. After doing an intradermal injection, recently tortured by the disease, Li came to the second hospital in Xiamen pain department outpatient treatment, the condition can be controlled. The second hospital in Xiamen pain clinic Dr. Weng Zelin said that the herpes zoster is a painful disease characterized by herpes virus invasion of the nerve causing pain and skin herpes in the innervation area, mostly in the chest and abdomen, the jaws and waist and legs are also commonly involved parts. Because of different immunity, the rate of persistent pain after the healing of herpes zoster skin damage varies among people of different ages. Nearly 10% of elderly people over 60 years of age have residual pain, while those who have had it for more than 1 month are defined as postherpetic neuralgia. This is one of the persistent pain conditions that plague the elderly, lasting even longer than 10 years in the longest cases without effective pain control methods. These elderly people suffer from pain for a long time and their lives, work and emotions are greatly affected. What should be done after having a “snake”? Dr. Zelin Weng suggests that in addition to the conventional treatment for herpes, early and active pain control is the best way to avoid residual pain, and a combination of medications, intradermal injections, and nerve blocks can be used to effectively control pain and minimize residual neuralgia. If early active and effective treatment is missed, patients who have been diagnosed with postherpetic neuralgia should strive for the earlier treatment, the better, and reasonable medication, neuromodulation and even destruction can minimize pain.
