Can I have a medical abortion in the first month of pregnancy?

If you are more than one month pregnant and meet the indications for a medical abortion, you can usually have a medical abortion. However, if the indications are not met, other ways to terminate the pregnancy need to be considered. Outpatient medical abortion is mainly indicated for intrauterine pregnancies within 49 days of conception. If a woman’s pregnancy does not exceed 49 days from her last menstrual period, the ultrasound examination is clear that the pregnancy is intrauterine, and there are no contraindications to medical abortion, then medical abortion is usually an option. However, if there are contraindications to medical abortion, such as poor liver and kidney function, medical abortion is usually not recommended. If the pregnancy is more than one month old, greater than 49 days, you may need to be hospitalized to have a medical abortion or an abortion to end the pregnancy, before having a medical abortion or an abortion, complete the relevant tests before the procedure. Patients need to be aware that there are certain risks associated with medical abortion, such as complications like incomplete medical abortion, so they must choose a regular hospital and terminate the pregnancy with medication under the guidance of a doctor.
