Normal blood pressure at age 30

The normal blood pressure for 30-year-olds should be < 140 mmHg systolic and < 90 mmHg diastolic, and our guidelines for the prevention and treatment of hypertension state that hypertension is diagnosed when the systolic blood pressure is ≥ 140 mmHg and the diastolic blood pressure is ≥ 90 mmHg. 30-year-olds are young adults, and if they have elevated blood pressure, it is necessary to clarify whether it is primary or secondary hypertension. If it is secondary hypertension, the cause should be treated and the patient's blood pressure can return to normal levels. If it is primary hypertension, non-pharmacological treatment should be given, such as low salt and low fat diet, and quit smoking, limit alcohol, exercise properly, and maintain a happy mood. If the blood pressure is still high, only then consider taking antihypertensive drugs to keep the blood pressure under control.
