Don’t delay shingles, be careful of posterior nerve pain

Winter is a good season for shingles, and some people say that shingles can be cured without treatment. This is true for some people, but not for others. The elderly, the weak, the chronically ill, and those on long-term oral immunosuppressants and hormones can suffer from shingles, which can leave residual nerve pain that can be severe if not treated in time. Therefore, do not underestimate shingles. Nowadays, there are special drugs for herpes zoster, but these drugs are not enough. If the pain is particularly severe, powerful anti-inflammatory drugs need to be added, and some patients need to be hospitalized. The herpes zoster group at the People’s Hospital has developed a treatment for post-herpetic neuralgia that has increased the efficiency to more than 90% through a combination of systemic medication, local medication and physical therapy.
