Sterilization is a common surgical operation. The general steps are hand disinfection, deiodination and laying of sterile towels.
1. Hand disinfection: take hand sanitizer to wash the foreign matter and bacteria on the surface of hands, upper arms and forearms, then rinse them with water and disinfect them. In the disinfection of hands up but not above the shoulder, and not be able to droop, so as not to cause contamination, water rinse hands and arms after the disinfectant, the use of sterilized towels and hand towels to dry the beads of water.
2. Deiodization: disinfection of the surgical area, the first 3% tincture of iodine to wipe the skin, to be dry tincture of iodine and then wipe with 70% alcohol, and disinfection of the number of times for 3 times, not back and forth repeatedly wipe.
3. Spreading the sterile towel: wipe the surgical area with iodine vapors from top to bottom, from the center to the periphery, and from the clean area to the non-clean area. Generally, this should be done three times. After sterilization, place sterile towels.
