Huai yam specifically refers to the yam produced in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province (ancient Huaiqing Prefecture), while the iron stick yam is the best of the Huai yam, the two belong to a subordinate relationship, the efficacy of the same, but the iron stick yam effect is stronger.
Yam is the dried rhizome of the plant Dioscoreaceae, and its main areas of origin are Hebei, Shanxi, Henan and Shaanxi. The main places of origin are Hebei, Shanxi, Henan and Shaanxi. Huai yam refers to the yam produced in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, which is used as medicine, and its effect will be better than that of the other places of origin. Iron stick yam is the best of all the yams in Huaiyao, which is named after the rust-like traces on its surface, and is even more effective.
Yam can benefit qi and nourish yin (replenish qi, nourish yin fluid), fixing essence and stopping the belt, nourishing the spleen, lungs and kidneys, and is often used in the treatment of spleen deficiency with little food, fatigue and weakness (tiredness and fatigue), kidney deficiency with spermatorrhea, loose stools (feces that are thin and not shaped) diarrhea, lung deficiency with wheezing and coughing.
It should be noted that yam is forbidden to be taken by those who are full of dampness (too much dampness causing fullness and discomfort in the spleen and stomach), as well as those who have solid evils and accumulation of stagnation.
