What does it mean to have squamous cells?

The test has squamous cells, which are usually present when a woman has a cervical exam. In general, a woman’s cervix is usually columnar cells, while the vagina is squamous cells. If squamous cells are found in the cervix, especially mutated, proliferating squamous cells, consider the possibility of cancerous cells or the appearance of precancerous symptoms. In general, the presence of normal squamous cells is not scary. It is feared that the presence of squamous cells in the distribution of columnar cells and the presence of heterogeneous squamous cells may be a pre-cancerous manifestation of cervical cancer.
