Glimepiride tablets have hypoglycemic effect and are indicated for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in whom dietary control, exercise therapy and weight reduction do not result in satisfactory glycemic control. Side effects such as hypoglycemia, gastrointestinal reactions and allergy may occur with the use of this product. Glimepiride belongs to sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drugs, this product mainly through the stimulation of pancreatic islet B cells to release insulin, so as to reduce blood glucose concentration.
