Do you need surgery for varicocele 21mm?

Varicocele 21mm doesn’t necessarily need surgery. Whether or not a patient with varicocele needs surgery needs to be based on the severity of the varicocele and whether or not it has symptoms.
1. Non-surgical treatment: for asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic patients with varicocele, including local cold compresses, avoiding too much sex, scrotal braces and so on.
2. Surgical treatment: high ligation of the internal spermatic vein is more commonly used, and it is suitable for the following situations.
(1) Those who have serious symptoms or whose symptoms are not relieved by non-surgical treatment.
(2) Those with obvious varicose veins or combined infertility.
(3) Patients with severe varicocele: i.e., the contrast agent flows backward into the scrotum during intravesical venography. The varicose veins are very obvious on palpation and visualization and are in the form of earthworm masses.
Patients with varicocele should go to the hospital in time for examination and standardized treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
